Who we are

3 Burkes Lodge Showroom-Street Entrance
Our exceptional customer focus and innate passion for technology is what drives us.
In the 90’s, before digital automation existed, Steve was designing bespoke mechanical automation solutions for his exclusive clients such as automated draw openers, pivoting entertainment screens, and even ‘Star Trek’ style automated doors!
These ‘remarkable’ solutions steadily gained him a formidable reputation which lead to further growth of the business.
Having built a solid team of expert engineers, with arguably the UK’s top expert in  2- channel, WYSAH continue to adopt cutting edge technologies and pride themselves on remaining ahead of the curve.

Biographies

Leading the team of skilled engineers is Managing Director, Steve Martin- Founding member of the UK trade association, CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association). Steve was instrumental in some of the most important developments in the custom installation industry. Former Chairman and Education Chair, he developed the training curriculum and championed mandatory certification, raising the bar for all new emerging installers.  Steve remains an active member and is volunteer on the global board of directors.
His passion for technology was born of his father, who was the technical director of the BBC.  Having visited the BBC studios as a young boy, he studiously absorbed his father’s state-of-the-art camera and lighting techniques on set.
It was clear that lighting,  cinema and related technologies would play a key role throughout his working career.
Colin Macey runs all aspects of our Beaconsfield showroom including audio and cinema consultations, demonstrations and sales, as well as audio repairs and LP12 servicing.
Colin’s interest in the reproduction of music started early and subsequent audio purchases led to his first Linn LP12 aged 19. He has been in the audio industry since 1982 when he joined Radfords in Windsor. After running the branch successfully for many years he joined Martin Kleiser. Many customers followed and are still with us after the formation of What You See And Hear.
His passion for music and accuracy of reproduction is well known. His knowledge and experience is unparalleled. His ability to tune and set up Linn LP12 turntables is second to none, illustrated by a customer base extending all over the UK. Known by some as the “Sondekmeister”, his ability to properly show our performance using musical parameters is easily appreciated and can be a fun and rewarding experience.
